Lavozella Creek

After running the Sierra City run on the NF of the Yuba (that run sucks, unless you like long splashy boulder bars and strainers) Jon and I had some extra time and decided to do Lavozella, another "Classic" in the normally right on Holbeck & Stanley guide. I'm not really sure how this run got listed as a classic, perhaps it is better at high flows. We found it a little bony, with only one good rapid, and one portage and lots of Class II riffles, my least favorite feature on runs. This rapid was fun but not worth it, run its sister, Pauley Creek twice instead. The one good rapid.
